Career Pathways

If you’re looking to take your first step into the professional working world, our Apprenticeship scheme can offer a great foundation upon which to build your career with us. There are several career pathways you can take…

We support Government initiatives such as apprenticeship schemes where we employ people on fixed term contracts.

Apprentices working with us will learn on the job, building the knowledge & skills to gain an apprenticeship qualification through Richard Huish College and prepare them for going out into the workplace.

It is our goal, wherever possible, to offer suitable permanent employment for well performing apprentices at the end of their apprenticeship.

Interested in completing an apprenticeship with us? Please apply here and we will be in touch.

We support our local college, Richard Huish, by being an employer for work placements in connection with their traineeships.

Traineeships provide an opportunity for young people to gain work experience and develop the skills they need to progress into an apprenticeship or start work.

Work experience

We consider work experience applications for young individuals wanting to get some experience working within an office environment. Acceptability depends on the timing and the department.

Career partners

We have worked in partnership with Richard Huish, Somerset & Bridgwater College over the years. Currently all our apprenticeship vacancies are advertised with Richard Huish College via the National Apprenticeship Website.

Recommend a friend

Our recommend a friend scheme gives our people a chance to help us find the talented people we’re looking for. They can earn £500 after tax when they recommend someone outside of work who may be interested in a role.

Career options

We have lots of different roles within our departments here at Lloyd & Whyte.

For an idea into the types of roles and teams we have, view our departments diagram here.
