Did you know that as part of the Benefact Group, we practice a high level of philanthropy, dedicated to helping charities and good causes through financial and practical support?
Benefact Group is the UK’s third-largest corporate donor. Since 2014, they have given away £200 million to charities and are on track to give away £250 million to charities by the end of 2025.1 In 2022, Benefact Group celebrated its £100 million donation milestone at Westminster Abbey.2 The service of thanksgiving was held in the presence of King Charles III who was, at the time of the service, His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales.
Benefact Group also helps charities by providing advice and guidance on fundraising, as well as colleague volunteering, online resources, and webinars. So, every time you arrange insurance through us, every time a policy is purchased, someone is helped.
Movement for Good Benefact Group
If you would like to be directly involved in helping charities, Benefact Group has an annual programme of giving; its Movement for Good Benefact Group Awards. Anyone can get involved, by nominating their favourite charities in the special draws throughout 2024.
You can nominate a charity to receive a £1,000 award at any time between now and 19th December 2024. There are six draws for £1,000 throughout 2024, so the earlier you nominate and the more nominations your chosen charity has, the more chance it has of winning. You can spread the word and share with your local community, friends, and family by word of mouth and social media. To be eligible for awards of £1,000 and £5,000, the good cause needs to be a registered charity, not-for-profit organisation, or community interest group located in the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, or Republic of Ireland. From February to September, 50 grants per draw will be given, and in December, 120 grants will be given.
Movement for Good Awards of £5,000
Throughout 2024, there are five draws focused on a specific area within the charity sector: Animals, Health, Youth, Environment, and Arts & Culture. If you have nominated a charity for the £1,000, you can also enter them into the special £5,000 draw, if they are eligible. Each special draw will give 10 awards of £5,000 to a charity or good cause. 3 You can receive notifications as to when the 2024 special £5,000 draws are open for nominations, to give you plenty of time to put your charity forward for an award.
